Carl W. Marker – Principal
Mr. Marker is the Founder, Chairman, CEO and Chief Investment Officer at IMS Capital Management. Mr. Marker has 29 years experience as a professional money manager. He has managed the IMS family of funds since their inception. Mr. Marker earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon. Prior to founding IMS Capital Management in 1988, Mr. Marker worked as a financial system analyst for subsidiaries of General Motors and Mercedes-Benz. He is a member of the Portland Society of Financial Analysts and sits on the board of New Hope Community Church. Mr. Marker has been regularly quoted in the press and has appeared in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, SmartMoney Investor’s Business Daily, USA Today, and Barron’s as well as several national business television programs.
Donald A. Shute, CFA
Don Shute is a senior fixed income research analyst at IMS Capital Management with 33 years experience.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shute worked for Bear Stearns Asset Management in New York, managing high yield bonds and researching government credit and corporate debt securities.  Prior to that, Mr. Shute served in a wide range of portfolio manager/analyst roles at GT Asset Management in Hong Kong and at Wells Fargo Asset Management in San Francisco. Experienced in all aspects of fixed income management including credit analysis, risk quantification and modeling, Mr. Shute has worked with domestic and global debt, corporate, government and convertible bonds, as well as money markets, currency and derivative and structured products. Don is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Masters degree from Utah State University.
Chris Magaña, Principal
Chris Magaña is the President and Chief Compliance Officer at IMS Capital Management. He is also responsible for providing equity research and portfolio management for separately managed accounts. Prior to joining IMS, Mr. Magaña worked as a portfolio manager for West Coast Trust, an affiliate of Columbia State Bank, where he developed a low turnover, concentrated equity strategy. Chris has 12 years of equity research and portfolio management experience. After receiving his B.A. in Business Administration from Concordia University, he completed his MBA in Finance and JD from Willamette University. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar. He has served as an adjunct professor at Concordia University and currently teaches part-time at Washington State University-Vancouver and Willamette University’s Graduate School of Business. He is active in several charitable organizations and speaks regularly to students, community groups and associations on investment, economic and personal finance topics. He is on the board of the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools.
Adam Gladstone, CFA –  Director of Operations Technology and Trading
Adam Gladstone is the Director of Operations/Technology & Trading at IMS Capital Management. He is responsible for creating and managing automated processes within IMS Capital Management. Prior to joining IMS, Mr. Gladstone worked as a Finance Associate for Sirios Capital Management LP, a multi-strategy equity hedge fund firm located in Boston, MA. There he was tasked with managing firm operations, accounting and performance reporting functions. Adam has 7 years of Investment management operations and accounting experience. Prior to Sirios, Mr. Gladstone performed the functions of Controller and Operations Associate at Gracie Asset Management, a long/short multi-strategy credit hedge fund firm located in New York. After receiving his B.S. in Business Administration from William Paterson University, he completed his MBA in Investment Management from Pace University. He is a CFA charterholder.

Doug Kintzinger – Principal
Doug Kintzinger is an owner, board member and advisor of IMS Capital Management and has over 28 years of financial, investment, and management experience. He graduated from Luther College with a B.A. in Math and Accounting and graduated from University of Iowa with an MBA and law degree. Doug worked for JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. from 1987 to 2009, most recently as a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President and CFO. In 2009/2010, he worked as a consultant doing work for various companies owned by Dick Wendt, JELD-WEN’s founder. Currently, he serves on several boards including Hampton Affiliates, the Oregon Tech Foundation and the Iowa Law School Foundation.
Steve Haug – Managing Director / Investment Advisory Services
Mr. Haug has over 20 years of securities industry experience and is responsible for new business development and helping clients achieve their investment goals using diversification and asset allocation techniques. Steve manages the IMS branch in Eugene, Oregon. Prior to joining IMS, Mr. Haug spent 23 years in the brokerage and advisor industry working with clients and their investments. Mr. Haug earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Whitworth College.
Daniel Belica – Principal and Managing Director / Investment Advisory Services
Mr. Belica is a Managing Director –  Investment Advisory Services in the Portland office.  He is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships.  Mr. Belica works directly with individuals, families, institutions and investment advisors.  He has over 40 years’ experience in the financial industry with firms in New York, Chicago and Portland.  Mr. Belica spent 22 years as a member of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).  He is experienced in stocks, bonds, futures, options and commodities.  Dan’s strengths include building strong client relationships based on knowledge and trust, as well as helping clients achieve their financial goals.  Mr. Belica earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Colgate University.
Mercedes Belica –  Client Service / Operations
Mercedes Belica is responsible for working directly with clients and handling the firms operations. She brings over 20 years of experience in client service in the financial industry. She received numerous awards for excellent client satisfaction while at Reuters North America. She continued her Client Service through successful Project Management with Standard Insurance and Lifemap Insurance to ensure a smooth transition for employees of the new Employee Benefits carrier. Prior to joining IMS Capital Management she worked in client service and project consulting with the Lakewood Center for the Arts.
Asmita Singh –  Client Service / Operations
Mrs. Singh is responsible for working directly with clients and handling the firms operations. Mrs. Singh has over 14 years experience in customer service and operations in the banking industry. Prior to joining IMS she was the customer service and operations manager at West Coast Bank. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Finance from Caplan University.
